Filipino music took center stage as established icons and contemporary artists came together for a night of live performances.
The Filipino Music Awards 2025 transformed the SM Mall of Asia Arena into a celebration of the many sounds and generations of OPM.
From contemporary pop and rock to hip-hop, alternative music, and performances drawing from the country’s musical heritage, the evening placed live Filipino music at the heart of the celebration.
The newly reunited IV OF SPADES opened the ceremony, setting the tone for a night built around the breadth of the Philippine music scene.
Throughout the program, the audience witnessed performances from BGYO, Maki, BINI, apl.de.ap, Maxie Andreison, Gloc-9, Yeng Constantino, Lolita Carbon, Cup of Joe, Ely Buendia, SB19, and other artists.
Gloc-9 brought “Upuan” to the FMA stage, while Cup of Joe performed “Multo,” which would go on to win Song of the Year.
The evening also created opportunities for different generations of Filipino musicians to share the stage. Yeng Constantino and Lolita Carbon performed with musicians from the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, bringing together contemporary and established voices in OPM.
SB19 delivered “DAM” before returning for the final performance of the night.
For the finale, SB19 and Ben&Ben came together for “Kapangyarihan,” closing the Filipino Music Awards with two of contemporary OPM’s most prominent groups sharing one stage.
The performances reflected what the Filipino Music Awards set out to celebrate: not a single definition of OPM, but an evolving musical culture shaped by different genres, generations, communities, and creative voices.
For one night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, those voices came together on one stage.
