Cup of Joe celebrated a milestone night at the Filipino Music Awards 2025, winning both Song of the Year and Album of the Year.
“Multo” was named Song of the Year, recognizing one of the defining Filipino tracks of the period. The song became a major commercial and cultural success and established itself as one of Cup of Joe’s most significant releases.
The Baguio City-bred band also received Album of the Year for Silakbo, placing Cup of Joe among the biggest winners of the evening.
For Album of the Year, Silakbo was nominated alongside BINI’s BINIverse, Earl Agustin’s Himig at Pag-ibig, Ely Buendia’s Method Adaptor, and SB19’s Simula At Wakas.
Cup of Joe also performed “Multo” during the ceremony, bringing the award-winning song to the Filipino Music Awards stage before its recognition as Song of the Year.
Winning both major recording honors in the same evening marked an important moment for the group and reflected the impact of Silakbo and “Multo” on contemporary Filipino music.
At an awards night designed to recognize the artists and works defining OPM, Cup of Joe’s double victory established the group as one of the central voices of FMA 2025.
